BAL-FZ rodent resistant eave & ridge roof infill strips

You need an BAL-FZ eave & ridge roof infill strip when there is direct exposure to ember attack,  flames from bushfire, and heat flux over 40 kW/mtr2.

These profiles are made up of a stand alone frame tested to AS 1530.1 (Fire immersion)  achieving a “non ignitability" fire rating and a non-combustible rubber sealing piece.

Conforming to AS 1530.1 means the product is "deemed to satisfy" (DTS) the BAL-FZ requirements of AS 3959 standard therefore are automatically approved for use in FZ areas.

All profiles have our SE 444 rubber insert behind the FZ casing that has been tested & subsequently rated, as non ignitable (to AS 1530.2 & AS 1530.2). This rubber creates a perfect seal between the purlin & roof sheeting. 

As a roof lasts 20 years, you want the eave infills to do the same. If in those 20 years, the eaves filler is attacked by rodents or birds, any other eave filler that also seals the roof from wind, water & dust will be compromised so therefore will not perform when a fire event occurs. Our BAL-FZ eave fillers will not be degraded by those rodents so will remain protecting the structure from rain, wind & fire for the life of the roof.
